FOUNDER

As an established artist, designer, and educator who adapts to and works with numerous design disciplines, Bridget explores the dynamic relationship between the professional visual communicator and the studio artist—the passions of an artist, the skills of a communicator, and the problem-solving methods of a designer. Her design perspective, administrative expertise, and collaborative approach drives the development and execution of innovative solutions to real world problems in design, higher education, and corporate environments.

Bridget’s expertise in graphic design includes integrated marketing campaigns, print publications, poster design, brand development/logo design, and environmental graphics. She has worked in the design industry for over thirty-five years and continues to be involved in visual communications.

Bridget is a Professor Emeritus of Graphic and Media Design and the former Associate Provost of Academic Affairs at Marymount University. A member of Marymount’s faculty since 2001, she served as Associate Provost of Academic Affairs and was a member of the SACSCOC Reaffirmation Leadership Team. She has developed and run multiple study abroad courses in Greece and Glasgow, Scotland.

Having earned an MFA in painting and communication design from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, NY and a BFA degree at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN., Bridget continues to be involved in the creative process through printmaking, painting, designing, drawing, and teaching.

In 2016, she had a one woman show titled: Impressions…letterpress, monotype, and etchings at the Barry Gallery, Marymount University. Bridget continues to have her artwork juried into national, state and regional exhibits such as the 2020 Bank of the Arts National Juried Exhibition; Craven Arts Council; New Bern, NC, Art League, Alexandria, VA and The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center, Virginia Artists Juried Exhibitions, Hampton, VA.  She won the Award of Distinction in Printmaking at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center’s Virginia Artists 2014 Exhibition.

Bridget is a member of the Columbia Pike Artist Studios (CPAS) and an affiliate with Discover Graphics Atelier, Torpedo Factory. Bridget grew up in Washington, D.C. and currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia
